Who is Peter Pointers?

I'm Peter Pointers, and I'm here to provide information on queer health issues for Chicago gay, bi and trans men, including physical, mental, spiritual and sexual health. I'm more than just a pretty face and a pink shirt. Behind the scenes, there is a group of qualified health specialists who work as a team to help me answer your questions.

Limitations
(what we can't do)

  • Legally diagnose specific health issues or conditions. So, if you have a specific health problem that requires attention, please immediately contact your healthcare provider to set up an appointment.
  • Provide you with your patient information or test results from any of the affiliated organizations.
  • Respond to an emergency. If you are experiencing a health emergency, please call 911.
  • Be available at every moment of the day. Responses may take from 72 hours to up to one week, so if you have an urgent medical or mental health question, please contact your provider.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Here are some important privacy and confidentiality considerations: I will respond to you directly, using the email address you provide. The Project CRYSP professionals behind the scenes will NEVER share your email address with anyone, either inside or outside of our partnering organizations. I will select commonly asked questions or topics of particular importance to post on the site - and will be sure to exclude any type of identifying information.

If you do not wish for your question topic to be shared on the site, please state that explicitly in your question to me.
